Tummy Tuck/Mommy Makeover

A tummy tuck is a cosmetic surgery operation that improves the abdomen’s appearance. It is also known as Mommy makeover because women generally opt for this surgery after giving birth.
Excess skin and fat are removed from the abdomen during this surgery, commonly known as abdominoplasty. Sutures are frequently used to tighten connective tissue in the abdomen. The excess skin is then relocated to give the appearance of a more toned appearance.
If you have excess fat or skin around your belly button or a weak lower abdominal wall, you may benefit from a tummy tuck. This surgery is also proven to improve one’s self-esteem.

Why should one go for it?

You may have extra fat, poor skin elasticity, or weakened connective tissue in your abdomen for various causes. These are some of them:

A tummy tuck can tighten the weak fascia and remove loose, extra skin and fat. A tummy tuck can also remove stretch marks and excess skin in the lower abdomen below the belly button. On the other hand, this surgery will not remove stretch marks outside of this area.
Your cosmetic surgeon may be able to include your existing C-section scar into your tummy tuck scar if you’ve previously had a C-section.
To achieve the best results, a tummy tuck can be combined with other body sculpting cosmetic operations, such as breast surgery. If you’ve had liposuction to remove fat from your abdomen, you may want to consider a tummy tuck because liposuction only removes tissue just beneath the skin and fat, not any excess skin.
